Hardenbergia violaceae, commonly known as Purple Coral Pea, is a vigorous climbing plant or ground cover native to the Melbourne Sandbelt region. Growing up to 1-3 meters (3-10 feet) in height, it features lush, dark green leaves and produces stunning clusters of purple to mauve flowers in late winter to early spring, attracting bees and butterflies.

Ideal for well-drained soils and full sun to partial shade, Hardenbergia violaceae is drought-tolerant once established and is perfect for trellises, fences, or as a cascading ground cover. Its vibrant flowers and attractive foliage provide a colorful display and habitat for local wildlife, making it a valuable addition to gardens and landscapes.
