Microseris lanceolata, commonly known as Yam Daisy, is a perennial herb native to the Melbourne Sandbelt region. Growing to a height of 30-60 cm (12-24 inches), it features narrow, lance-shaped leaves that form a rosette at the base and produces bright yellow, daisy-like flowers on tall stalks during spring and summer.

Ideal for well-drained soils and full sun, Microseris lanceolata is drought-tolerant once established and makes an excellent addition to native gardens and wildflower displays. Historically significant as a food source for Indigenous Australians, this plant not only enhances biodiversity but also provides nectar for local pollinators.
